Constructive Writing
While writing is my passion, I must make a living so most of my constructive writing helps me improve my craft for its selling qualities. Still, it is for “work” and takes on less of a creative excitement in my mind as a dollar sign.
This focus may be good, because what I love to consider my best creative endeavours are not necessarily anything that holds the interest of the general public. I smile as I think of the “mad” artists that are considered geniuses after their demise. Maybe my favourite writing style and themes that others would consider crazy and irrelevant now will rise in the public’s admiration after my death. In the meantime, I am thrilled to earn an income from the trade of writing.

A Gift with Potential
Like any other ability, writing is a gift. As a gift, it should not be taken for granted. Still like all gifts, it is given to someone to be improved. Of course, the person is not alone in his attempts to improve writing skills. God's own Spirit is always there, many helps books and websites give writers a boost and actually practicing the art will improve it and provide others with the opportunity to give feedback regarding it.
The best thing to do is to take each day as new and do some writing. Listen to what others have to say and take quiet moments to hear God's Spirit. Make the effort while accepting the help, and improvement will be the result.

Another day has passed with studies about fresh fruit and vegetables and heart failure. The research work on the topics were fascinating. Still, I needed a few more jobs to meet my quota. I'll have to do my best to find some jobs over night.
My work as a writer is like the birds hunt for their daily food. I must hunt and peck and trust God!

The Daily Writing Business
So whether I'm researching and writing about the common cold versus the flu or the difference between crocodiles and alligators, I am being paid for a variety of interesting topics written as short articles for websites everywhere on the internet.
Meanwhile, I try to spend some time on my book writing and blogs every day. The private projects only have the potential for pay while the freelance writing pays the bills.
However it works I am constantly trying to improve my writing skills and my opportunities in the business of writing. I am learning all the time and praying, too. I know I need help beyond my own efforts in this business of making a living by writing.

Beginning the Journey
Yes, I am a free-lance writer who loves making a living by writing. I am glad to do what I what I love and get paid for doing it. I hope you will enjoy the trek with me as I write about my day as a writer. Today, I start this new blog that will chronicle the journey of one struggling writer.
The trek is a long, hard and rewarding experience, so come on along with me!
